LINKS provides resources, support and networking opportunities that support country programs for cardiovascular health. Membership in the LINKS community is free.

Who is eligible for membership?

Professionals associated with governments, academic institutions, civil society organizations or the private sector are welcome to apply. Your organization’s strategies should align with at least one of the following:

  • Hypertension control: Hypertension treatment programs that include reporting on hypertension using the WHO HEARTS technical package monitoring indicators or selecting standard hypertension treatment protocols
  • Salt reduction: Reduction of population salt intake through strategies outlined in the WHO SHAKE technical package and appropriate to the country’s primary sources of dietary salt
  • Elimination of artificial trans fat: Eliminating trans fatty acids from the food supply as described in the WHO REPLACE technical package

Restrictions to membership

LINKS membership is not available to individuals who are affiliated with or supported by the industries listed below. Failure to disclose any conflicts of interest may result in membership being revoked.

Applications from individuals with significant relationships to organizations that may present a potential conflict of interest (e.g., pharmaceuticals, medical devices, for-profit healthcare, health insurance, food or beverage) will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
